Ancient Metal Work And Pottery Group. Circa 1st century BCE-3rd century CE. An interesting lot to include, the base of a pot with two nails, from Silchester in 1890 during excavations. Accompanied by original hand written label. Two bronze bowls and a large cup, possibly north African in origins. A bronze stylus, ex. R.J. Widdowson, 2002. A number of fragments from pins and bangles, two iron arrow / bolt heads. Also included are a group of bronze spear heads and spoons, heavily corroded and some fragmented. ex. Private UK collection. Measurements, smallest 45mm-165mm largest.
